Krumpus runs across an old friend as he approaches near Melmorahn. He wishes to take the ashes of Creigal to Melmorahn—but Toar’s trail has turned away from the city. Krumpus sits where the trail meets a road running north and south and contemplates his conundrum.
As he sits there, a man approaches on the road; a man the shaman just happens to know. The man takes Creigal’s ashes and promises to have them delivered to the shaman’s mother near Hearthstone, that she might dictate their disposal.
Free of the duke’s ashes, Krumpus is free to pursue Toar.

The wise man that freed Toar from the Eye of Lasitus became his benefactor and arranged among his many contacts to have the young man trained in anything that piqued his interest. To the wise man’s delight, Toar took a ranging interest in everything, and spent time among a great number of teachers for all sorts of varied professions. He became a jack of trades, and helped among his developing network of friends, while he built himself a house on the edge of town.
He met several other asexual individuals, and as often as not, there was a cuddle puddle in his bed.
Toar lived some ten years among the people of Salyst before death rained down and destroyed wide swaths of the city. Unfortunately, Toar was among the many fatalities.
Thankfully, the calamity did not last for long and the city survived.
